in 1981.
Board Certified in Pediatrics, he has been with the Children's Clinic
since 1981.
He and his wife, Cathy, have eleven
children and six grandchildren.

M.D.
Pediatrician
Board Certified in pediatrics, Dr. Wallace graduated from
LSU School of Medicine in 1980. His Residency was at LSU School of Medicine in Baton
Rouge. He has been with the Children's Clinic since 1983.
He and his wife, Darleen, have three children and one grandchild.

Stuart Landry, M.D.
Pediatrician
Graduating from LSU School of Medicine in 1987, Dr. Landry did
his residency at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
Board certified in pediatrics, he has been with the Children's
Clinic since 1990. He and his wife, Blanche, have three

McCanless, M.D.
Pediatrician
Board
certified in pediatrics, Dr. McCanless earned his Medical Degree from
the
University
of Pennsylvania in
1949. His Pediatric Residency was at
Duke
Hospital,
Durham,
NC.
He had Fellowships at
Willard Parker
Hospital
in New York (infectious disease) and at
Western Psychiatric Institute in
Pittsburgh
(child development and child psychiatry). He served two years as a
Captain in the USAF at Barksdale Air Force Base in 1955. Dr. McCanless
has been in pediatric practice in Lake Charles since 1957, first at Lake
Charles Medical & Surgical Clinic and then at the Children's Clinic
since 1981.
He
has two children and two grandchildren.

Dr. Karriker graduated in
1994 from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his Internship and
Residency at Children's Hospital and University
Hospital in New Orleans.

pediatrics, Dr. Karriker joined the Children's Clinic in 1997.
He and his wife, Dr. Deborah Decker,
have two children.

Dr. Maust completed

Houston
and his Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in
Houston.
He is board certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
His practice at the Children's Clinic began in 1998.
He is
married and has two children.

Luis F. Apellaniz, M.D.
Pediatrician
Dr. Apellaniz
received his Medical Degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of
Medicine at San Juan in 1976.
His Internship and Residency training was at San Juan City Hospital
from 1976 until 1979. He became a Commissioned Officer of the
National Health Service Corps from 1980 - 1985. While there he
served as the Pediatric Medical Director of the Loiza Health Center. In
1985, Dr. Apellaniz opened a private practice in Puerto Rico that
continued until his move to Jennings in 1991 where
he opened a private practice, Jennings Pediatric Center.
He joined the Children's Clinic March 1999.
He and his wife, Michelle, live in Jennings and have two
children. |

Deborah Decker, M.D.
Pediatrician
Dr. Decker completed
Medical
School
in 1994 at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Her pediatric residency was
completed at LSU Medical
Center
and Children's Hospital in
New
Orleans
in 1997. Dr. Decker was in private
practice in Lafayette,
Louisiana
from 1998 until she joined the Children's Clinic in October 2001.
She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is
married to Dr. Bryan Karriker and has two children.

certified in pediatrics, Dr. Karpovs was raised in
New Orleans
and graduated from LSU in 1997. He received his medical degree
from LSU
Health Science
Center

New Orleans
in 2001. Dr. Karpovs completed pediatric
residency at Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth
University in Richmond,
Virginia
in 2004. Before coming to the Children's Clinic
in August, 2005, he practiced at VCU Children's
Medical
Center in
Richmond.
Dr. Karpovs and his wife, Stephanie,

Murray, M.D.
Pediatrician
Dr. Murray received a
Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University
in 2000. she received her medical degree from LSU School of
Medicine in Shreveport
in 2004. Dr. Murray completed pediatric residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in
New Orleans
in 2007. Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Murray practiced previously at Ponchatrain
Pediatrics in Covington,
Louisiana and joined
the Children's Clinic staff July, 2008.
She and her husband, Dr. Virgil Murray, have two children.

Juan
M. Bossano, M.D.
Neonatology
Dr.
Bossano is a 1981 graduate of San Marcos University in
Lima,
Peru. He
completed his Residency in Pediatrics at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center
in Chicago
where he also had a Fellowship in Neonatology. He is board
certified in Pediatrics and
Neonatology and serves as Medical Director of the Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit at Women and Children's Hospital.
Dr. Bossano is a Fellow of the American Academy
of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association,
Louisiana State Medical Society and Calcasieu Parish Medical Society.
He has three children. |

Jamal Saqer, M.D.
Pediatric Intensive Care Specialist
Dr. Saqer received his medical degree from
Garyonis University, Alarab Medical School in Beghazi, Libya in 1983.
He finished his residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine - Wake
forest University in Winston-Salem, NC in 1993. He completed a
pediatric critical care fellowship at the University of Florida, college
of Medicine in Gainsvill, FL in 1996. Dr. Saqer is board certified in
pediatrics and is a Pediatric Critical Care Specialist.

Dr. Ardoin received a Bachelor of
Arts in Zoology from LSU in 2003. He received his medical
degree from St. Matthews School of Medicine in Grand Cayman in
2007. His pediatric residency was completed at Tulane University
School of Medicine/Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, LA
in 2010. He joined the staff of Children's Clinic the same year.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates as both a Nurse
Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse. Beth has been with the
Children's Clinic since January, 2000.

Misty received her B.S. in Nursing from

in 1999. In 2007, she received her MSN from University of
Texas Health Science Center in
Houston. She is a certified by the
Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB).
Before joining the Children's Clinic, she worked at
Lake Charles
Memorial
Hospital in Pediatrics,
PICU, NICU, and at Women and Children's Hospital in Pediatrics
and NICU. Misty started at the Children's Clinic in 2007.

Baton Rouge.
She is married and had two children.

Clinical Nurse Specialist
Patti is
a Clinical Nurse Specialist and manages the
Acute Care Center.
She is a BSN graduate of
McNeese State
University
and an MSN graduate of the
University
of Texas Medical Branch.
She is certified by the National Certification Board of
Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. Patti worked as
a pediatric nurse and nurse manager for 11 years at
Lake Charles
Memorial
Hospital
and has been with the Children's Clinic since 1991 as the
Director of Nursing.
